Actually, I have just realized something very interesting. Although, Urdu is largely Hindi in Persian script, a lot of common words are borrowed from Persian or Farsi.

It seem that the reason some of the above terms are so popular is nothing to do with the level of development in Urdu either in Pakistan or India, but because the terms are being used in Iran.

If you look up terms in Urdu, which probably isn't going far at the moment, but you have a common term in Persian or Farsi, that means when Urdu does get going that term is going to have widespread recognition and application.
