Seriously, there is nothing inherently wrong with single character japanese domains. 木、水、高、城、白、黒

Some of them possess meaning standalone and they are easy to remember and type-in. Of course they can have value. Let's see some representative ones and we can comment.
Am I correct in saying that the Chinese used to use single characters an awful lot but switched more to couplets in the 20th century?

As Chinese is a completely different language, Japanese would have been largely unaffected by this move?

Just more fuzziness from our Think Tank?
