As when we first bumped heads on dnforums I was totally ignorant Dave. That's why I created the forum because truthfully most Westerners do not easily understand potential in other cultures.
Right now it's a small investment for us to just purchase IDNs that if we owned the English equivalent we would be rich now. History always repeats itself.
If they don't want to invest it's their loss. I can spend $250 a year on our 20 potentially future high selling keyword Japanese IDNs. I am confident that I can at least sell 5 in the mid XX,XXX range as they become used more. Remembering that most people can't even understand if you can even write Japanese or Chinese with a conventional keyboard it makes sense that they have doubts, but being in Japan for most of my adult life & being bilingual I can tell you that Japanese people & Chinese people will start using IDNs.
Doubters don't know Japan. I say in 2 years we will start being able to sell high. Asian Americans, or Americanized Asians are a different market than ASIA. You must look at the average Asian in Asia to get a true perspective on things. They don't speak English & most as of this point are not heavy internet users. It's sad but it's true.

Got one appraisal at DNForums - REG FEE.
Wiped the floor with him. If they are not worth much then they are worth nothing at all!
Best Regards
