Ambassador is first associated with diplomats, but also closely aligned with the name of hotels. I don't believe that it is one brand like Marriott or Westin, but it is a distictive name and lots of independent hotels have adopted it. I am sure there are some small chains too. I google searched it for 3.5 million mentions.

In the Middle East, it also might have more to do with interest in diplomatic Ambassadors that represent their countries from all over the world. When I worked in Greece the local Ambassadors were kind of like mini-celebrities....attended a lot of the same events etc. Good name Jeff!

well i know its not that hot of a name but it seemed pretty cool as most good arab names were gone!
