I am not sure that they are quite on par with Korea and Japan who are pioneering Mobile Internt TV, but the US always seems to think it is at the cutting edge. It never was with Mobile. UK and Finland were alway ahead of them before being overtaken by Japan and Korea.
I was just counteracting the US perception China runs of 386 technology. There were very few computers in China at that time. Most of their computers have been manufactured and disributed in the last couple of years. It is therefore reasonable to assume that they are pretty up to date.
China is now the largest phone market in the World. They have more phones than most countries have people. Clearly they are not running the system on secondhand hand me downs as many at DNFs would like to have us believe. The last I heard was China had 300M mobile devices, but that information is probably 12 months out of date and an underestimate of 100 Million or so.
