I was just scanning through you tube and found that someone put up a CCTV IDN TV news story. Here it is if anyone wants to watch it.

Thanks Sarcle, it said that a thousand people a day are registering idn's but what terms are they most likely to register ? Why the h*ll would domain regs surge in the advent of festivals ? Are they mostly spiritual like names, for lucky charms and stuff ?

I know chinese pay a lot of money to get the telephone number they want, how far does this mentality extend to their view on what is and what is not a valuable domain ?

I think that video shows a clear concise picture that it does not cut off at domain names.

Well i guess they will have to live and learn to a certain extent , Ask some of the people in the Dot HK land rush, they thought it was hilarious how they bye passed generics and went straight for TM's and Company Names
