What IDNs were submitted to MONIKER?

Anyone care to share what IDNs they submitted to Moniker for auction?

Re: What IDNs were submitted to MONIKER?

Just got this email as of now.

Adam – we will include the IDN’s in the silent auction. We are now working on a display issue on how to present the characters since we cannot display the native language.

Yeah, Bill got the same email on Saturday it seems. They just send out the same email every two days now. They keep going at a rate like this, just reply with the same emails every two days, and they wont even have to worry about the auction.

I wrote him last night and asked what IDNs would be in the auction.
Hopefully have a response today.

Now I am wondering if they got many entries besides the 3 or 4 guys here that have spoken up.

I went as far as to download the submission form. I took a look, saw that it did not have an inkling of compatability for IDN and figured it would be a waste of time.

Don't get me wrong though, i'm not happy with the latest auction developments either.

I even knew which domains I wanted to submit:

運動.jp -Excercise.jp
将来.jp -Future.jp
クラス.jp -Class.jp
有機.jp -Organic.jp
ダイニング.jp -Dining.jp
レジ.jp -Register.jp
利益.jp- Profit.jp
书签.cn -Bookmark.cn

Guess that is the "would have been rejected and given the silent auction consolation prize" list

Re: What IDNs were submitted to MONIKER?

It looks as though we may just have to limp through until buyers have outserved their usefulness. Frankly, it is understandable that there is great sceptisism at Traffics when there is no semblance of an orderly market here. Most buyers are asking unprecidented prices in a market where the buyers are expecting to pick up the riches of the orient for Nickels and Dimes. I cannot figure out which set at the moment are the most deluded.

Re: What IDNs were submitted to MONIKER?

Okay so where are we? Still at square one?

Been a day since I've received my last email from Monte even though I replied and was very cordial asking a few questions and asking when a rep of Moniker would be stopping by to explain everything and still we have NADA.

No explanations, no IDNs confirmed, no idea how any of this is going to work.

And we have how many days to the silent auction? Boy, we are going to make a splash aren't we?

They must really want our business in the future.

We believe IDNs may be of value to many of the bidders and those attending so we are including them for that reason, but for obvious other reasons they require additional validation and a different set up and that's why we had not listed them sooner.
That's the bottom line on the IDN's ...I hope that helps.

Nice to see they thought of us first. Considering this is where it all began.
