I have seen quite a few fluxuations on a large scale regarding China traffic in the last 4 months. They are really hitting the censorship issue hard lately.

This is actually a good news depends who report it.

After more than a decade of using internet, the Chinese government realize the importance of internet in China's development, so they (1) plan to put in more resource to build a more efficient net, and of course (2) a better way to protect their investment.

They don't want to build a faster internet to let spammers (the bad guys) send more junk mails.

This report only mentioned part (2) --- policing, but omitted part (1) --- Chinese government encouraging the use of internet.

True --- there was the 1 Yuan .cn domain news earlier this week...but this story didnt mention that.

I honestly think that the .cn registry is quite risky now when you consider how stong of a hand the Government plays in the Internet structure in China.

There's no risk of blocking if you play according to the rules - no sex, no gambling, no politics, no drugs, no theology, no religion, no corruption reports - basically nothing of which you will not tell a 5 year old.
