what do you do when you see a juicy japanese name to register but the english word already exists as a .jp or .co.jp

do you stlil register the dictionaryword.jp ? or do you avoid for possible TM? Even tho its a dictionary word they could say they were usign this word.jp for a while and they should get the japanese version.

I got a few like that where it's a product but someone owns the English versions as something else (company name non related etc.)

I've hardly checked the English equivalents.

Also in Japanese there is more than one way to write domains with English letters.
All you have to do is register a different spelling in English if you have a problem & it's not exactly the same....

That was one of my points with IDN domains. It's always the right term while if you write Japanese in English expect 40% of your visitors to spell it wrong if they have to type it in.

I get surprised when people at my company mispell simple things (Not making fun of Japanese just expressing a point).
