...With regard to second level, single character names in ASCII, letters and numbers, the recommendation is that we recommend that single ASCII letters and numbers be released at the second level in future TLDs and those currently reserved in existing TLDs should be released.

Excellent news. That will give us all a real yardstick as to what single character IDN are worth!
