Don't think it makes any sense for IDNers pouring money into renewals at this stage of the game. With ROI often into 1000's if not 10,000 in percentage terms avoiding slight increases in renewal charges doesn't make much sense. OK, a lot of people are struggling on the cashflows on the short-term, but renewing several years ahead is only going to exaccerbate that problem.

Revenues are rising gradually even though the expected breakthrough has yet to occur. We had our biggest number of click throughs in a single day yesterday and that seems to be part of an emerging pattern. I would be very surprised if our portfolio is not self-sustaining by October, even though we are invested in some languages that may not come good for a year or two.

I guess it will also depend on which registrar you use - some will absorb the increase themselves, others will pass it onto their customers.

I am fairly confident that Network Solutions won't increase their standard pricing this time, but for those working Sub $8 this would massively erode any margins they have. I think you can expect them to pass it on. I would think $0.50 increases across the board are likely for anyone were are likely to be dealing with.
