This week I bought a domain name from someone. He had it registered with Nicco.com, a Russian registrar. (ICANN-approved, of course.) Now, if you look at nicco.com, you will see that there are exactly two Web pages on this site. You can either 1. consult WHOIS, or 2. modify WHOIS and DNS if you have a web site registered. That's it.

There is NOTHING about "get authorization code", "renew domain", or "help". There is not even a single email address given on the site or any way of contacting the registrar.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I tried to use my password as the authorization code, but nicco.com rejected the transfer.

Thanks.

Brian

Thanks for taking the time to look up the WHOIS for me. I'll give it a shot. It's incredible that I have to resort to this. Will ICANN approve any idiot?

it could be worse... according to the stats that registrar manage only 80,000 names - there are other registrars that manage only a few hundred - can you imagine what they'll be like dealing with.

How did you originally register the name, was it through Snap or Pool?

If you still have problems, I could get someone to knock on their office door.
