Google Might not pass PR to IDNs

I was just checking stats on PR for sites.

I can't find any IDNs with Google Page Rank.

I even checked Japan't registrar's website

It doesn't show any PR at all & it has plenty of backlinks to it.

I wonder if this will change?

If anyone has seen an IDN with PageRank please post it.

We already know that IDNs can at least show up natively in Google results...

Well, I would guess that PR for IDN is one of those things still in development.

Google seem pretty committed to being a player in the IDN Market, so I don't think this should be a problem longer-term.

Yeah it's got an alexa ranking of 259,700.

They get some great traffic, heres the graph      Of course the parent site jprs.jp does much better.

I would guess also that this has to do with the programming/translation problems.


It doesn't have a Ranking number at Ranking.com (http://xn--wgv71a119e.jp).  I haven't seen one at ranking.com  With that great of an alexa rank it should.

I wrote them an e-mail at http://xn--wgv71a119e.jp.  I will post the reply once or if I recieve it.
Their email is info@jprs.jp.  Maybe you can write them one also olney.  Just in case they can't speak english and just toss this e-mail.

I am interested in purchasing some Idn domains.  I would love to purchase a few from your site.  I have a question maybe you can answer.  I noticed that your site has a very good alexa ranking with great traffic yet no google page rank.  I am concered about this.  Can you give me an explaination on this.  Any thing will do, opinion or fact.  I am just trying to gage my future interest in these domains.  We have wrote about you at "Idnforums.com (http://www.idnforums.com/index.php?action=post;topic=108.0;num_replies=1)"

Interestingly jprs.co.uk only ranks 339,369 at Alexa and dropped 68,258 over the last 3 months and was actually down to 528,455!

Does this mean that the Japanese are abandoning this version of the site, or am I missing something here!

It is also about time Alexa got their act together and went IDN enabled!

Sorry, got this wrong. Their main site is jprs.jp which is 18,589!

After seeing this information I would come to this conclusion also. That there is definetly something going on. Either they are moving their traffic away from jprs.jp to the idn. I did notice that there are two links on jprs.jp one is two their child site, and another is to xn--gmqs0ew0c0z5h.jp (has alexa) which list's all the active .jp inds....interesting...I checked it out and there are many that are available in the .com.....hmmm....give you an idea.

This is a very strange company. The other sites they operate at is:

Keep in mind that these are the only ones that I can connect them to either through Alexa or Page rank. The Idn's I cannot. I would not have dug this deep had I not recieved the e-mail I did. There is something strange going on with this company though. I will post more on the subject when I get more proof. Here is there response to the e-mail I sent.

Brilliant customer service. I guess they didn't realize that this is their site, and that I have no idea who their webmasters are. It would have been as simple as forwarding my e-mail to the appropriate channel. But I guess with this many websites and possible lot's more they get a little confused what goes where. Anyways, I re-wrote them, we will see what response I get a second time.

Unfortunately the SEO experts kept thinking I was talking about .jp's don't produce PageRank...
