I mean, Alexa works best when we do not visit the site ourselves - as our own plugin will influence the statistics.

It is actually a lot better than that. That is 3month average and you have only about a months worth of Traffic. the 1 week average of 143,699 is probably the best guide but yesterday you were actually up to 62,836.

I don't use it either. Nobody here cares what your Alexa ranking is anyway. It's never been more than a "wild approximation" of traffic.

Outsourcing is dangerous, i tried that once, that guy used a link submission software - these go to spam sites.

I found the alexa data from whois.sc before I put up a simple site.

Where does the traffic come from and what does this word means? I can't find the word in Google.

Alexa is mainly an American phenomenon, that has been latched onto by domainers.

Where are the foreign language versions of alexa.com? Do they have foreign language version of their tool bars? Is every computer in China preinstalled with Alexa? No, of course they bloody aren't.

Alexa has consequently has huges holes in its data. I think the do some back of fag packet calcs to try to cover this up, but basically, like a lot of ASCII domainer institutions they are really worth the square root of bugger all to us!
