I usually don't pay any attention on North American traffic since I assume it comes from fellow IDNers who are trying to figure out if the domain names are available. But recently I noticed that the click-through rate for North America is not that insignificant - above 5%. I think our fellow IDNers are too busy regging to click on links on NameDrive, so it's not coming from them. Is it possible NameDrive might be making a mistake on geo-traffic identification?

Sure, that's possible if not all ip-ranges are covered, maybe namedrive assumes traffic to come from north-america when an ip doesn't fall in any of the ip-ranges ?
This is not far fetched if you assume most of the traffic comes from non-western regions where it is likely not all ip-ranges are inventoried.

You don't think there's people in North America more comfortable browsing in languages other than English?

It's not likely that the bulk of the idn traffic comes from the region which is most skeptical to it's implementation.
