I thought I had 5 but now that I've looked through my old stuff, I've decided to keep another 3 so I have 8 total. Also have about 20 ".com IDN related names". I hope to make sites with most/all of them.

Well, I had about 50-60 IDNs from the original 2000-2001 testbed back when they were bq-- encoded. I let them expire because it it didnt seem like IDN was going anywhere. I think the .org names were discontinued and they changed the coding and I just lost interest. The Japanese and Chinese IDNs dropped as soon as they expired if I recall correctly. I watched the few I really liked, and they renewed and I kept them. Really, I had maybe 2-4 good names in the Asian bunch. I was new to all of this back then so maybe I did not make the best choices.

Have done some hunting recently but I don't want to register anything unless it is spectacular, and there doesn't seem to be much of that left.

Ic, domains isn't a perfect market, it's good to buy more commercial domains, as long as they are terms describing broad products and services, and have google/yahoo ads. The more you got, the higher the possibility that some end-user might contact you and offer you a big sum.

Yes, when I was at 2,000 the target was 1,500 but we have somehow overshot to 3200.

We should have answer options for 1000-1500, and 1500-2000, this way we can roughly estimate our total holdings.

About 800 or so currently. We're trying to slow but it's just not happening.

Now I remember what turned me off with IDNs back then. Two japanese IDNs I had were taken from me because they conflicted with Chinese characters - this was at the time they switched to the new coding - and I just thought the whole thing was way too uncertain, in addition to being pissed because they took my names.

The other thing is, I'm not really registering the names to resell. I'm regging them more for development, though enduser offers are always welcome of course.

We have about 1200 IDN domains.
Maybe 200 ascii which we will probably sell off soon.

Around 220 and I'm still regging a few here and there as I come up with ideas.
Mostly Russian and Greek.

95% Chinese?

90% Chinese should be correct. I didn't realized I also own some other languages IDNs.

1300 plus chinese domains is quite a feat. :-) Do you post at idnclub?

Wow, that was very quick, Drewbert. What areas are you concentrating on?

Drewbert

ID's mainly :^)

Anything that looks like it's get traffic.

I wasn't really interested in Arabic, but I'm grabbing them.

I thought all the good Japanese stuff was gone, but it hasn't.

I was having trouble telling which Korean names would work, but aren't now.

I clearly need to join a support group.

Looks like you're well on your way. Join the support group as soon as possible, because it only gets worse, but don't let them stop you. I like to compare IDNs to previous investments and I DO NOT want to come back a year later and say "I wish I would have bought more" like with some other investments.
