Getting nowhere with them maybe someone else want's to try.

Here is the reply I get back.

Dear Adam,

We want to thank you for your comments.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. There are several complications that arise with offering IDN domains. GoDaddy has looked into the IDN product, and will continue to review the pros and cons of the product to determine if it would be beneficial for us to offer this product to our customers. We want to thank you for the comment and suggestion to use IDN domains but unfortunately at this time these domains are something that our company does not offer.

If the office can assist you further, let us know.

Kindest regards,

Melanie Schmitt

they could have put a test bed out months ago and they would probably have gotten most of the regs..

because of them businesses like domainsite.com are getting their name out there :P

Exactly, it wasn't and still isn't a wise move for them to ignore idn. They need to get their heads out quickly but doesn't seem they are very likely to.

It's the same thing with another major registrar I have names with. The CEO said they would have to revamp their system to accept domains other than ascii.....

It requires alot of money to do an upgrade but it should be worthwhile for big players like Godaddy.

Here is my reply back to them.

From August 05 to Jan 06 you have roughly lost 10,000 .com and .net registrations.

From August 05 to Jan 06 domainsite has gained over 10,000 .com and .net registrations.

This isn't a mistake. IDN is happening now. Domainsite, Enom and several other domain providers offer this service. While you are determining your step you are losing registrations due to this. Idn is the way of the future of the internet. The investors that know this are asking for you to provide the ability for registration. I have posted the details to this and the last email at www.idnforums.com (http://www.idnforums.com/) We are asking for an legitimate answer as to why you are not participating in IDNS.

Thanks,
Adam.
