It is an abbreviation of Союз Советских Социалистических Республик (http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A1%D0%A1%D0%A1%D0%A0).

CCCP (http://www.cccpfashion.com/images/CCCP-3-big.jpg) is used in fashion like "Che Guevara".
