I have been doing some research into Korean domains and after reading up a little I noticed (if I'm correct) that the search engine market is very fragmented and search engines have a very different way of displaying results on the first page than the American version. For example, see Yahoo Korea (http://kr.yahoo.com) vs Yahoo.com (http://www.yahoo.com)
For Keyword research the Korean OVT tool is available but after checking several pretty ok keywords the returned OVT scores are fairly low.
My questions:
1. Are the Korean OVT scores in general lower (without taking into account the different size of the markets OVT scores are available) as a result of the smaller market share Yahoo has in Korea?
2. If the answer to 1 is Yes, has anyone got a multiplier to get a closer estimate for the keyword data
3. Are there local Korean tools that give a better indication?
Thanks, any hint is appreciated.
