Hi all,

Can anyone explain me why some idn korean .org & .info are not available to buy, but also 'Not Found' in whois ?

For example, 게임 in org/info

Korean is supported by org & .info, so I don't understand.
Not a charset pbm at first view...

Thanks!

.org no longer allows two character korean idns

Some still exist - but all are "TAKEN" and not able to be registered.

Thanks Cowboy,

But I still don't understand.
Why not two characters please?
And what about .info ? Same rule ?

ThX anyway !

Edited: Hey, I was thinking about what you said, so it makes more value to 게임.biz (in that example), no ?

Nobody quite understands why .org and .info extend their "3 chars or more" only rule to languages whose "characters" are more "words' than "letters".

Doesn't make any sense to me. But what would I know?

You have to be having a laugh! Are they completely stupid?

Expect new goldrush when they release these as New TLD policy makes it crystal clear that one letter IDNs are acceptable.

Only single ASCII at the Top Level will continue to be banned for technical reasons.

y don't they make it 3 characters? That will exclude 90% of korean words. :p
