I noticed the recent few years that there has been recently been talk of a revival of original han chinese fashion on internet forums.
For 400 years, traditional chinese fashion has been the familar to most cheongsam, or qipao, which is what the waitresses wear in chinese restaurants.

But some cosplay enthusiasts are saying this is manchurian fashion and are advocating to revert to original chinese fashion, which some others would feel look more like japanese kimono - except that japanese fashion originated from china.
