How much are Japanese prefectures worth?

In 2006 there was a DNJ reported package deal of 8 Prefectures .com sold for $15,000.
My recollection is that others sold in early 2006 from between $1200 to maybe $2500 each
depending on population. Last sale I remember was probably a year ago and guessing prices
are not so low.
