Who does the appraisals for IDNs at afternic?
Appraisal seems a bit high in my opinion for the less popular english transliteration term for internet.
Maybe you can get some better appraisals here from the Chinese speakers.

There is a big difference there. ישראל is the best term for Israel.
因特网 is not near the best term for internet in Chinese.

Afternic told me not too long ago they can't even afford to hire 1 person to be in charge of IDNs, and their classification system for languages is still strange. IDNs are a low priority for them, so don't expect too much.

This appraisal is way off base.

I just bought the best and basically only term for "used cars" in a .net for $220:
http://www.idnforums.com/forums/13485-%E4%BA%8C%E6%89%8B%E6%B1%BD%E8%BD%A6-net-%28second-hand-car%29-a.html

This is not the best term for "internet", among 4-5 possible ways to say "internet" in a .net.

Real market value for this name right now (the price at which I, and other major Chinese IDN buyers would think about buying), is $1000-$2000.

That's an actual appraisal.

I once got an appraisal from Sedo for $185K for a Chinese IDN.

At the time they had a Chinese guy working on IDN.

Of course the appraisal was not worthless as it motivated me to register more IDN.

It also taught me not f*ck about getting appraisals.

Irrespective of appraisal (s) , perceived popular usage of term etc ,can the guy not put any asking price he wants without having his sales thread crapped on ?
