I do not know "what" will be the 'Best' -
but you can check .CN Whois on CNNIC...

you have to use their website. their whois doesn't seem to work for IDNs??

Web whois, i think mulligan is talking about the direct whois.

Note, you can use either "域名.中国" or '域名.cn" format to check the whois.
