Which domain will rank better based just on the keyword match? Does google give more weight on realestate.com compared to real-estate.com when you search for "real estate" ?

Do a search on google. Try a search for: [seo dash "no dash"]

From an SEO point of view i don't think it makes a real noticeable difference. Some people have reported success with dash.

Although if you know SEO, optimize your sites, and know how to generate traffic, it does not really make that big a difference - seo-wise.

From an appearance point of view, i prefer no dashes, i think sites with more than one dash can definitely look spammy. Also from a marketing point of view i would definetely go with no dash, will be easier to remember and to brand..

realestate.com = 50 x real-estate.com

"-" ~= spam footprint

mee2k7 (http://www.idnforums.com/forums/members/mee2k7.html) has a cute avatar, but I agree with Jose the robot. No domainer would take a dashed domain if that was not the correct way to spell the domain name. Dashed is second place.

The dash is for splogs, for long term domain plans as well as well as vallue you don't want it.

SEO wise not a big difference.
