Besides having to deal with a suck ass page design and tons of spam to register a domain (http://www.smallbusinesshub.com/blog/tabid/6307/bid/2466/GoDaddy-s-16-Step-Checkout-Brainless-Marketing-At-Its-Finest.aspx) AND having to fgo throught endeless atempts to find the latest updated coupon codes before registering/renewing (http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?p=2258065), they HAVE NOW increased .Com prices by 12%!!! (http://domainnamewire.com/2007/10/13/godaddy-increases-com-prices-12/) adding $.62 to Verisign's $.42 increase!

GoDaddy has their niche for the most part serving "non" professional domainers. Best service IMO...if you have a
domain dropping they will usually call you on the phone to confirm non-renewal. So for some it is worth it not to lose any
names by oversight. So if you don't like em' just switch registrars at renewal time. Simple process.

Maybe its a service we signed up for...don't know. Just know that they do call us.
Maybe cause we intentionally dropped a good amount of ascii names this last year.

We don't rely on the calls either, I just know we get them.
Best practice is to try and stay at least 3 months ahead.
