Are singular or plural words better for Russian domains?

Have come across a few where searching in wordstat - Yandex. One form will have the high wordstat score and the other version will only have a score if it is partnered with another word, by itself none.

Is it safe to always target the word showing the highest visitors/searches on yandex, or the one returning the most results (which is difficult as the search engines return all related forms of a word).

It depends on the word. Don't trust Yandex, it is not literal.

Check Google, Yandex, Rambler, and US Ovt. Then, trust your instincts.

PM if you want.
