Probably because everyone has a decent PC with no current need to upgrade. The next wave of PC buyers will then get Vista. No big deal. We cannot control it.

You PC will be your TV, your TV will be your PC and the whole thing will run your house, schedule your life, start your car
and turn on the heater if its cold, start your coffee pot and who knows what else.

The coolest inventions are yet to come. They will be implanting "screens" into peoples retinas and audio jacks into
their ear canals before long. Then you'll read of sales of the mobile 5" screens will dropping like flies.
