Makes a lot more sense to me than dot Asia.
I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get .Eng or even .Xeno! :p

It's going to be run by the .mx crowd?
.com.mx names are so expensive, most Mexican businesses use .com instead.

I'm waiting patiently for .moon and .mars for when people start to inhabit those celestial bodies. And there will likely be regional domains on the moon too, so we may see domains like flowers.sot or flowers.sot.moon (for flower sales in the Sea of Tranquility), not to mention .iss for those living on the International Space Station.

I like more .LA for Latino America, Latino Americanos or Latin America, Latin Americans = .LA from my point of view .LAT is very bad, who is going to search for real estate in latinos, you probable search for real estate in latin america .LA, the same for hotels, vacations and the others.
I don't think that .lat is going to work for south america is more for Mexico and some of the central american countries.
Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile don't consider themself Latins primary terms for them is Americans = Americanos, South Americans = Sudamericanos, Hispano Americans = Hispanoamericanos.

Hehe, kind of eminds me when Mitsubishi launched the Pajero and wondered why it wouldn't sell in Spanish speaking countries. Lack of market research by the brand managers...

Pajero jajajajaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Notice that it is still called the Mitsubishi Pajero in all other than Spanish speaking countries.
Do you know what they are calling it now in the Spanish speaking countries?

Yep. I'm not any where near fluent in Spanish, but that's what I thought of first as well.
Crazy.
They'd be better off using .ñ and .õ :)
