Reading the results, the "pass" is supposed to be the highest bid received and the domain not sold as it has not reached its reserve.

Are they saying they had "buyers" at these prices and sellers would not sell?

IDN Domains
xn--hchminh-9ya7999d.com (Ho Chi Minh in Vietnamese) - pass $6,000
xn--i1bj3fqcyde.com (India in Hindi) - pass $3,000,000
xn--per-boa.com (Peru in Spanish) - pass $200,000
xn--7rv214h.com (Japanese) - pass $15,000 (Kanto Region of Japan)
xn--xhq326a.com (Chinese for Shandong) - pass $20,000

No because Shangdong had a reserve of $20K, but did not sell. One of the members here placed a phone bid apparently at $16K which appears not to have been accepted, and was certainly not announced by the Auctioneer.

I have to say on reflection, I think the Auctioneer had given up the will to live by this stage. It seems that it wasn't an IDN specific problem. It seems America has simply run out of cash.

Mmmm....xn--7rv214h.jp (Kanto Region of Japan) is mine. Perhaps this is a promising development.

wowzers… 3 million turned down for India.com (IDN)

The IDNers are going to strike it rich

—-Answer—-

That bid is really out of touch with reality. Sounds either incorrect reporting or… Time will tell.
