AOL, a division of Time Warner, and Oneindia, a leading Indian languages online portal, have announced a strategic alliance for powering content on AOL.in's Hindi- and Tamil- language channels.
The language portals, aol.in/hindi and aol.in/tamil, will now offer compelling content including news, movies, sports, Astrology, art and culture from various regions of India, in languages specific to those regions.
The News section promises national and international updates in real time; the Movies section comprehensive coverage of Bollywood and Tollywood; and the Astrology section monthly and weekly forecasts.
The AOL-OneIndia alliance is expected to work at different levels. While AOL.in will be able to leverage OneIndia's experience in providing language-specific content on the Internet, AOL's audience will get a one-stop destination for engaging and informative Internet content -- in their own language.
