http://idnLinks.org - A new web directory dedicated to IDNs.

Feel free to submit any developed idns you have. Please no parked domains or non-idns though.

Will also be updating my 'inform your visitors of IDNs' javascript (http://www.idnforums.com/forums/14023-let-people-know-about-idns-on-your-site-minisites.html), so that it points to an IDN FAQ on the above site.

Also would like to hear any comments about the website also.

If you are going to require reciprocal links, please tell people up-front. I've just wasted time trying to load a very slow website only to find it requires a reciprocal link.

You should know that such directory sites never grow, are not liked by search engines, and have no real use.

If you want to list IDNs, great, but don't ruin the directory by requiring a link back. Its never going to work for you.

Sorry for wasting your precious time!

Site clearly shows it is in beta. Never meant to require reciprocal links, but copied the base of the site from another of mine, and missed changing that, and getting round to it now.

Made the site to help/promote IDNs, and intended it to be free and easy to submit..
Will inform in this thread when the site is ready for submissions. Shouldn't be long.

True enough - but at least when I finally get to load this website I get something useful.

Sorry for wasting your precious time!

If you are launching a new website, you should really be bothered to see what is on it. I don't care if it has a label saying beta or not, make it useful, or don't bother publicizing it.

Fixed up the things that were wrong on the submit form. And yes listing is without reciprocal link needed. :)

Anyone who wants to can now try to submit your sites. If you have any troubles let me know.

You specifically asked for opinions and I gave mine, simple as. How was I supposed to know it required a reciprocal link before visiting it? Talk some sense.

I think this is a great idea in one sense. However, it also opens up adsense sites for attack by the Boca crew.

ok I tried to submit my http://xn--12c8d1a4fxc.com site - I pressed "continue" and I just get returned to the same page - no indication of success or failure - or any other messages. Have I successfully submitted or not?

I think this is good idea to promote IDNs.

But may be it is smarter to make language-specific directories? Think about it.

mgrohan, may be You should make IDN FAQ in other languages?

P.S.
Thanks for the link. Can You, please, cut www from idnf.ru? Thnks anyway ;)

I tried and got the same problem.

I add one with no problems... Russian.

OK sorry folks for problems with the submission. It needed to have all fields filled in (but i think 'link type' wasn't so clear before that it needed to be selected.

Have redone the submit form, so it should be clearer.
Just make sure all fields are filled in. Have checked it and it is working.
(error messages on submit form is not working at the moment, but form is working, when submission is successful it will tell you.)

Also, it is kind of slow.
Unfortunately stuck on a bad slow server at the moment. Site has a load time on some online tests as only 1-3 seconds, so maybe not slow to everyone?

Thanks for the link. Can You, please, cut www from idnf.ru?
No problem, Done

Of course this would be best. I don't have the time though. Maybe someone else?

may be You should make IDN FAQ in other languages?
Yes this is done already the links are in the footer. Although the other language pages are not professionally translated yet (only a mish-mash of wiki and online translators). Maybe later i will get it done better.
