Admin: how about some stats on new members

I could swear that the member count is climbing steadily, admin, do you have any stats you can share with us?

On the homepage, if you scroll down a little and look for boxes on the right hand side, you'll see a member count in a "stats" area. It's currently at 235.

I think it's about 25 new users a week for the last 2 weeks
We're looking at about 3 to 5 new members a day now.

I was looking for yet another measure on how popular IDN is/is becoming.

It will be interesting to track this number the closer we get to IE7.

Well there's different ways people measure success & how a forum grows.
I like to measure the success of the forum based on Active members.
That's why when you look at the members number when you log in it shows less than the total number of registered members.
To show up in the members list you have to at least post 1 time.

I went back to some posts abouut growth of IDNF here is what I found:

On January 15th there were 67 members

On January 26th there were 97 members

On January 30th there were 120 members
* got nice lift from mention in DNJounal sometime around here?

And today...235 members.

Anyone care to venture a guess about how many member will be here by end of year?
