法規 in Chinese means "laws and regulations"

"法律" is the best term for LAW in Chinese.

Yes, for Chinese (traditional) the meaning is laws, statutes, legislation, rules. As IDNer has said 法律 is the term for law.

While not exactly law, 法規 still not a bad domain in the law niche
