In Korea, MS is autoupdating IE7.

Now we think that the web-navigation ratio is

IE6 : IE7 = 75% : 25%

and the update of IE7 will be completed at august in this year.

Korean IDN were very quickly registered in all extensions, the uptake much faster than Japanese or Chinese.
Most good generics were gone in 2006 in .com and .net. Do you see many IDN used in advertising in Korea at this time?
We saw the surge in Russian (type in?) traffic following the publicity of Russian IDNs. So far Korean traffic is light.
What other exposure is there to the general population of internet users that can make them aware that IDN are useable today?
Thanks for sharing local information.

Too many question!

We have a long history of Korean IDN since Nov. 2000.

Meanwhile, some company called to Netpia was selling Korean internet names, based on IPC namesever.

So many Korean are good at typing words in address bar.

Until appearing IE7, Ktdom company has lease many Korean internet names of Netpia and then Ktdom registered many Korean IDN (now about 100,000).

Because of sudden quitting web-navigation of Verisign we couldn't go to websites via Korean IDN.

If IE7 become main web-navigator, Korean IDN traffic will be remarkable.

Sure if avaliable.
The priority is com > net > kr > org > biz even though some people argue.
