From dnjournal ...led by #3 Game.com.cn (China) at $35,000. That is only the second significant .com.cn sale ever reported to us and it is five times higher than the previous one, Yisou.com.cn at $7,105 just 3 weeks ago.

Is this an indication that fair value for Chinese IDNs will come sooner than expected?

This was more of a thought like "if a .com.cn in English can go for $35k, then fair-value for something like 游戏.cn (game.cn) must be very close to being realized"...

I think this underlies the confusion in the market place at the moment.

This sale is clearly out of line with general pattern, but "game" is an awesome keyword.

It would seem that new owner is form Netherlands and is not Chinese.

I think this will prove to be one of those investments where someone has gone just a bit too far out on a limb on the basis of duff research.

I think the dutch domaining scene is pretty unaware of IDN's at all, I don't see any discussions whatsoever.
