Is America in Recession or not? Well the above are quarterly growth rates expressed on an annualised basis.
Basically last month the economy was only 0.6% bigger in the fourth quarter than it was a year ago, I think. However, it would seem that the economy already grew about 3% since the beginning of the year. Doesn't that mean that the economy actually shrunk by more than 2% in the final quarter?
