Anyone who can confirm that книжки is the prime term for book in ukrainian?

книжки is the prime term for book in ukrainian

I'm not a native speaker. книги and книжки mean books in Ukrainian.
I see that книги is more popular that книжки.

It's not only for Ukrainian it's also for Russian and means (affectionate diminutive, plural) "books"

Yes. It is a Bulgarian word too. I don't know exact translation from bulgarian; it could mean "booklets".

Looks like it might be the primary Ukrainian term and secondary Russian term.

книги is Russian. People speak both languages in the Ukraine.

книги is not only Russian. as I said earlier it is also an Ukrainian word.

Книги & книжки both can be used as russian and as ukrainian. Both are plural in both languages.

Книжки can be used just as books (книги) and in meaning of small books (маленькие книжки, банковские книжки, зачётные книжки).
