At some point, we're all going to just give up. This is what, the 3rd time it's been expected?

I don't bother thinking about AU nowadays. If it comes, it is a bonus.

Google gives $1 commission whenever a person installs Firefox.

microsoft doesn't even bother to give out IE7 when they could do it for almost free. Bill gates and steve balm is getting old.

Nope .. no big jump for me (Yet?) .. Russian is by far the heavyweight and has been for some time
Just one example:

Russian-Blah-Blah-Domain.com .. Views 1771 >> Clicks 383 >> CTR %21.63 >> PPC US$ 0.03 (Yeah, so the PPC is shit) >> Earnings so far for Feb US$ 12.14

Russian surged yesterday. Now heading for three quarters of total clicks.

Impress Watch

写真:Impress Watch

Third time and three years later. Shit. We need another meeting. Who's up for another?

Google gives $1 commission whenever a person installs Firefox

Only a couple problems. Firefox doesn't have the reach we need in non-latin based countries. Second if I was a native average Russian typing in porn in russian and my browser switched the domain to www.xn--whatever.com (http://www.xn--whatever.com) it would get me off that site quickly.

Didn't see Rhys' post.

Anyways he's right auto-update has begun. http://日本語.jp/access/ie7_autoupdate.html

http://日本語.jp/access/ekimachi.jpg

http://日本語.jp/access/meishi_arimori.jpg

Have one. If the U.S. is any indication of how fast IE7 auto-update is going to happen. Then we have approx. 128 days for it to be complete.

Other than that, I'm ready to party. I'm looking for IDN meeting #2. Where next?

It will be in the Eastern Hemisphere for sure. I think maybe we should start a poll. I'm game for anything. But it's been mainland Europe leading from people I've been talking to.

Put me down for Europe.

Anywhere there. UK, Western Europe, Eastern Europe. Southern Europe. Northern Europe.

And if you can time it so that there's an F1 GP happening close by, that would be even better.

It’s been ie7 auto update three months since last November in Korea.
Only 7% of ie7 browser percentage became 33% market share now.
As we expected, there is rarely and almost no type ins yet
For the type ins, I believe we have to wait near 2 more years.
By the end of this year (maybe fall season), we going to have 7-90% of ie7 browser share in Korea.
At that point, very few big boys will start their TV commercials. And another more than half year will be needed for following and showing many big corporations ads one mass media commonly.
This whole process will take almost 2 years from now totally. Verisign’s web navigation service could save near one year wistfully.
If some of you gets some offers from Korea, it could be some domainers’ offers
Not yet, serious offers from the end users.
And... Very top genetic and good market key word Korean IDNs(maybe inside top 50) priced something around 50,000 US dollars now in Korea if they are met right buyer and seller.

Ops, from 7% to 33%, the multiple is only x2!

Funny thing is, i'm still getting much less traffic than when web navigation was working!

For guy toilet users: when you come to singapore, unless it is in your hotel room or at home, pls do not sit on the toilet bowl! I rather they do it like in China, all squat toilets.

I conducted a quick access ananysis to my dozens of Japanese IDN websites.
According to which, the following percentage of visitors to my websites were using IE7.

25.86% between 14 Feb and 21 of Feb

21.59% between 1 Feb and 12 of Feb

16.68% in January as a whole

15.79% in December as a whole

14.98% in November as a whole

We could meet at DomainFest which will be in Paris in June I think.

I'm interested in meeting if it is in Asia ro Europe. Japan could be a good place. I'd like to meet some Japanese domainers -- they seem to keep a low profile.

Thanks for the stats. It seems to be ramping up gradually, then. Just as I expected.
