it was first registered by Yun Hee Co,Inc,R.O.K
3 year ago . a Korea comapny.

both Korea and China factually have same traditional culture,Korea is part of Ancient China thousands of years before. Korea was governed by a King's brother before in history and gradually become independant due to the wars and seperations of Ancient China.

and Korea was going to apply duanwu Festival as the world culture heritage before China then.

Founder of EAchnic.com ,ex VP of www.net.cn Mr. Yao Jingbo bought 端午节.cn back and send it to the city of Zigui, the home town of Quyuan, the orgin of Duanwu Festival.

It is disclosed the sale is 30 K USD world wide .

And www.net.cn is the biggest registrar in China.

58.com is a big portal of Web2.0.

I don't read Chinese, but see related stories here. If it indeed went thru, this sale seemed to have slipped under the radar.

i've heard about the 30k sales story.

the guy who bought the name from a korean, used to head up the largest registrar in china - net.cn. he's now running his own firm - 58.com.

but this guy admited that it was a lot of money to pay for such a name. it was also reported that he bought purely because of his patriotism and he wanted to donate the name to the government as long as government would develop a proper website about the festival.
