Right or wrong, it cannot take too much longer to resolve this one way or the other. If IDN.IDN are not launch this year, it is highly likely that credibility and momentum in the whole venture will simply evaporate. The dynamics with this are a bit different from those of the men with sandwich board's who will continue to announce the second coming from now until Doomsday.

Indeed, it is seeming increasingly likely that it will be easier to get the 80% of the World's population to learn English than to get ICANN's Board to formulate and pass a simple resolution on the one matter that they themselves have already identified as their most pressing issue.
