Starting to see them more and more:

Gifts - מתנות - Number 1
Mortgage - משכנתא - Number 1
Car Rental - השכרת רכב - Number 6
Forklifts - מלגזות - Number 3
זר מתוק - Number 3 # 5

- None are my domains.

Very nice to see that, I imagine that many native speakers are fascinated to see these sites. Lots of new names popping up in the Hebrew who.is lately, heavy on the GoDaddy idn reg system so they must be promoting.

Next Google update might make them drop.

The Florida update was good to url exact matching, "Vince" update (Also called the "Brand update" will be bad) I think local Google machines didn't get it yet.

Notice the difference between .com and co.il.

I'm really thinking so as well.

Some sites have recently been pushed up in the SERPs even though parked in namedrive... making them receive more traffic, but I doubt it'll last.

do the hebrew idns get traffic
~500,000,000 Hebrew pages with .co.il extension
~100,000,000 Hebrew pages with .com extension

Not a bad ratio.

And Hebrew IDNs do get some traffic. Not Russian-level traffic, but some.

Is this just a guess that the next update will be bad for URL matching or based on solid info?

I think alot depends on content.... and terms searched for.

here is an example:

http://www.google.co.il/search?hl=iw&q=%D7%90%D7%99%D7%9A+%D7%9C%D7%A9%D7%99%D7%9D+%D7%A1%D7%A8%D7%98%D7%95%D7%9F+%D7%91%D7%90%D7%99%D7%A0%D7%98%D7%A8%D7%A0%D7%98&meta=

Solid info as its already in place for .com. Brands and big old trusted sites will be most likely to outrank them for the same keyword term.

Google will find some way to screw us.

Which .coms? All my thai minisites have been climbing for the last year, and 90% are now top ten, and continuing to climb. Zero evidence of domains being devalued from where I am standing.
