Interesting. A private party (probably university-related) is handling .kg and they only have 1500 domains delegated.

They've decided to have the national patent organisation take over the service (and lower the cost of registration).

Assuming the current delegate approves the transfer, it should be relatively painless, as long as ICANN doesn't insist on different contractual obligations.

didn't realize you were one of the bidders for this one idn, a bit surprised not to see more action on this auction but i guess Kyrgyzstan beeing such a small
market putts off some potential buyers, even if we're talking about the capital (and largest city)
