Is there a chinese bid research tool that anyone knows of or just the keyword?

Whats BIN?

Also has anyone had trouble registering certain domains through domainsite, while others work? Is there a block on some names?

And the question about domainsite is pretty interesting because there is this thing called Varients that is very popular in chinese and can cause your domain purchase not to go thru , But i have been experiencing Alot of domains not going thru latley that shouldnt have any Varient Issues, So it is most likly you are trying to register a Varient but on the other hand there seems to be some problems over there for the past 2 days

You could check both the Simplified Chinese version and the Traditional Chinese version. If one of those is registered then the other one will be blocked. This should be true for 95% of the names. Sometimes there will be a Japanese variant but not often.

Ive noticed names with IDN characters combined with english characters dont seem to get picked up even w/ decent OVT...such as: 音楽 cd.com
main reasons for this?

and how do you register the .JP with IDN's?
it says the .jp extension does not allow it at DomainSite. Im sure im missing something. Thanks again everyone for the help trying to do as much catch up as i can.

Yeah its personal preferance and it just depends on the term , IMO this is a GREAT domain av女優.jp AV= Adult Video in japanese Actress , and the .com happens to be blocked, So again i say it all depends on what your are buying SEO will be a major factor in this game !
