'The first domain filed in Chinese will be .中国'

Not necessarily the first cctld awarded.

Even it were not the first awarded, which is highly unlikely, it will definitely be the first implemented. I mean what is that to do apart from remove the ISP Hack?

Anyway, all the guy said was it would be the first Chinese IDN.ccTLD. I think most would have difficulty arguing with that. I mean the only option is .TW and does ICANN really want to start a World War?

RD - it could be .HK or .KR (they are both going fast track as well!)

But I agree, logic tells me .cn will be the first, followed closely by .hk, .kr and .tw I suspect - lol... :)

I don't really think the Hong Kong lot are going to try to upstage Beijing, and there is bugger all point Korea going fast track because they are stuck to IE6 like glue.

Just got a vision of that happening. China would be PISSED.
