Occasionally I look at the auctions on 66.cn

At the moment in the daily auctions on the front page there are 8 ascii.cn and 7 chinese.cn up for auction. That seems to be a good ratio for IDNs

Does anyone monitor 66.cn frequently and has there been an increase in the number of chinese.cn up for auction ?

Yes there has been a noticeable increase in IDN exposure via auctions not just there but also other Chinese dropcatchers. It has now become quite difficult to get any decent names.Currently 66 seem to catch the vast majority of the good ones!

Today on the front page of 66.cn, out of the 15 .cn auctions, there are 13 chinese.cn and only 2 ascii.cn for auction. I have never seen such a good ratio for chinese.cn

I also notice that there is a much longer time frame than usual for the auctions. At time of writing 3 days 22 hours. I wonder if this is a consequence of the new rules notification from CNNIC ? Or is there currently a national holiday in China ?
