huge advertising campaigns for dot egypt will be launched said the egyptian minister for telecommunications

http://shorouknews.com/ContentData.aspx?id=155558

he is expecting 5-10 million names to be registered on dot egypt in the coming three years !!!

I think he is dreaming far away :) but nice step anyway and historical event for egypt.... bravooooo

huge advertising campaigns

كلام الحكومة مدهون بزبدة يطلع عليه الشمس يسيح :D

However, if the right domains developed the right way, I think dot masr, dot emarat and dot ksa will rock, if ended up with crap development or parked, then it all gonna die, just my opinion

هههه لا وانتش صادق مدهون بمية تطلع عليه الشمس يتبخر
LOL

I think opening registrations with low fees plus opening it for all individuals and companies and non egyptians without tons of papers required, in this case it will succeed and reach thousands of registrations and many developed websites otherwise it will a complete failure like dot.com.eg

.مصر
very nice because its just 3 letters
I think idn.idn will be very nice and good market
and idn.idn will be supported and marketing by Arab governments
and there is a problem in Arabic when you use idn.com or net
because Arabic Right to left
and you must use shift+ctrl to change language each time.

this problem solved years ago

Ctrl + Enter – Auto-complete *.com address
Shift + Enter – Auto-complete *.net address
Ctrl + Shift + Enter – Auto-complete *.org address

type مصر and then control+enter
no needs for www. then shift IDN then shift then .com

It's from Chuck Gomes from Verisign. Icann has said IDN gTLD will be up to them. Verisign has finally spoken.

Cheers

Second level registrants for any .com or .net domain names will have the right to activate their second-level name for any IDN versions of the corresponding .com or .net name and no one else will be allowed to do that.
All second level registrations for IDN versions of .com or .net will be associated with their corresponding ASCII .com or .net as applicable.
In essence, the result will be that all active second level domain names for .com or .net (ASCII or IDN) will have the same registrant. For any that are not activated, they will be unavailable to others.

We were waiting for this for 5 years now.

Algeria is the right representative for the arab and african football.

.misr is an excellent initiative too.

But they will be also affected by the new idn.com rules

Dont jump high with expectations, algerian team is very weak, they played with great zeal and anger against egyptians who are more professional and experienced . egypt would have done much better than algeria of course at the world cup.

Good luck to them but I hardly can imagine algeria wins any match despite that easy group they playing in.

concerning .misr , egyptians are trying to catch the train and be pioneers in the field but I am not sure if they calculated everything right concerning profits and .misr potential.
