when riyadh falsely accused me of selling wrong arabic IDNs , moderators felt helpless as none of them know arabic to judge

but what happened in this sale thread is someone who is not aware of listed IDNs languages , jumps all of sudden ruins the sale

and when I reply harshly to him, I am mistaken and other people attack me!

these kind of people wouldnt stay a minute in a respectable forum like dnforum with paid membership and strict moderation

here , people didnt pay for membership and they buy or register 2 domains and all of a sudden become expert and attack other old members in an unprofessional way

basel...the moderators here do care, and frankly spend a lot of our personal time trying to make this a good forum..

We don't LIVE here and trust members to do the right thing, sometimes that is to pm Moderators to help with threads instead of people posting and adding fuel to the fire. Sometimes we choose to let you guys "blow off steam" and get things out of your system that you might not say otherwise...like the moderators here stink. We take your criticism and rarely any thanks mind you...but i would challenge any moderator (even from DNF) to come here and run herd on a sales forum in 20+ languages and try and make all the rules. It's easy to make judgement calls when all sales listing are in your native language.

Sure we could have shut your thread down, but by letting you guys rant a bit hopefully WE WILL ALL LEARN SOMETHING TODAY ;) and end result will be a better forum.

A person interested in your auction that DOES NOT speak Arabic is going to perhaps put many hours of time into research to later find out reserve price is xx,xxx??? People here are not going to waste their time researching to not know the bottom line price to win the auction...it is that simple.

You put up a NO RESERVE auction and you will probably see many bids, but frankly you might be disappointed in the sale price here. IDN reseller prices are fairly low unfortunatley, but that is the reality. For my 2 cents, I would keep those valuable names

gee has been on this forum for 4 years, and he has no trackrecord of ever cheating other members here...if anyone has any complaints, please contact me or any of the MODs. if you see typos etc please feel free to point them out in a constructive manner.

it is a slippery slope to deal in languages you do not speak...but we allow constructive comments in our sales threads, which hopefully keeps the forum and sellers honest. Try putting comments in a sales thread at the "other forums"....you will most likely get infraction points!!

Moderators will respond to any threads or sales of incorrect names....people that have an ongoing history of 'problems' will not be allowed to sell here.

Most members never see the sales thread that are deleted here with TRADEMARKS, COMPANY NAMES, OBVIOUSLY WRONG TRANSLATIONS etc.

But Moderators can't do it alone, we try to do our best and appreciate members helping in a constructive way.

I would ask that you and all members NOT make direct accusations against other members, but rather take up with the Moderators and they will take what we feel is appropriate action.

I think your best course of action would have been to post: "Sale Suspended Temporarily" as soon as you had 2 or 3 native speaker corrections coming in, or offer to sell them individually so people could do thier own research on each name they might be interested in.

I do think many here have a sense of trust that senior members names are mostly accurate. Fact is, a good percentage of all of our "foreign" language names are wrong and we don't know it.

It does not hurt to post "Do your own research" on sales threads if you are not 100% sure of translations.
