Could someone please verify translation of "الديون" in Arabic? I thought (mistakenly, so it seems) that it was "religion". Thanks for the help. (You too, sarcle).

hmmm, just curious but It seems when I copy/paste the term above it is available, maybe I copied it incorrectly it has happened before. However if you don't own the above term, just curious why you are asking for a translation verification. why not wait for the sale to conclude on the other thread, when IMO given "g's thread (http://www.idnforums.com/forums/249-hints-about-arabic-idns.html) and the link to wiki that "religion" seems to be the main term in the sales thread.

timing seems a bit odd, what gives?

I think the OP posted the wrong domain. He owns الدين.com (xn--mgbq6djt.com); not الديون.com (xn--mgbq6djjl.com) which is available and appears to be wrong.

The OP's domain, الدين.com, is "The Religion," and looks to be a pretty great domain in its own right, according to google trends:

http://google.com/trends?q=دين%2C+الدين (http://google.com/trends?q=دين%2C+الدين)

الدين also has 673,000 broad and 5,400 exact monthly searches on google.ae adwords.

thanks DTS, agree nice domain (soley on the fact of who owns the .net)
I am just trying to figure out what was going on, since this was the second thread i have had to clean up. I assume too much holiday cheer :D on the inability to find the right section and domain for that matter(please don't drive tonight)

Not saying it isn't a good domain. But like you said. It means "the religion" not religion.

Also the exact match is more for دين.

When using google trends it doesn't take into account how many times it's used as an adjective instead of a noun. Such as "the religion of islam" or whatever.

I can understand the OPs concern but it's in poor taste. No hard feelings though.

Very true, I think it's undisputed that you (Sarcle) have "Religion" in Arabic, and while I'm not a native Arabic speaker, I'd assume yours to be the prime term.

Something is odd. I have this term- الدين.com (xn--mgbq6djt.com). Somehow when I copied and pasted xn--mgbq6djt.com into Dynadot it returned الديون the first time. That's what I used to start this thread but it is not the term I intended. I re-pasted xn--mgbq6djt.com into Dynadot just now and got the correct term I have registered, which is الدين. Sorry for all the confusion but I am just as confused. :confused: I didn't mean to step on sarcle's sales thread at all. It was just a gut reaction surprise when I saw that he had "religion.com" for sale in Arabic when I thought I had it. I'm just trying to figure out where mine fits in. So now, is الدين still a proper term for "religion"? Thanks...

your domain

الديون.com = debits.com but with The - The Debits - prime terms

الدين.com = religion.com

non arabic speaker have big problem to know the value of The in arabic idns

thelove.com is 5% of love.com price in english

but some time thelove.com in arabic is is 150% of love.com price in arabic idns

and the top use for The with arabic words when you used it alone

and you all know that we are using one word on the url www.الحب.com so The is important for complete meaning

thanks

Also, "Alladin" to my knowledge plays a part in the trends of "the religion". Not 100%, but I'm sure it's "ala aldeen" (which aldeen is الدين).

Would need a native to comment on that, but just wanted to throw it out there. Good domain ;-)
