Well, if it wasn't a response to the request for premium names, why should he have expected a reply? Perhaps they have different views on what constitutes "Premium".

I think we all have different views on what constitutes "Premium" ... every name is different and has to be judged individually. "Premium" vs "Non-premium" isn't quite the right grading system for domains.
